Roc'h ar mor est un tableau que j'ai peint en extérieur à Bréhat un jour de tempête, comme en atteste la vidéo qui l'accompagne.
J'ai adoré ce moment complètement improbable où il me fallait lutter contre le vent et laisser parler mon inspiration. Il en résulte une oeuvre très graphique aux accents expressionnistes, on dirait que les rochers ont une âme à part entière, le vent à travers mon couteau et ma peinture leur ont permis de s'exprimer.
Dans ce chaos rocheux vous trouverez ça et là des éclats bleu de la mer comme si le vent avait commencé à tout mélanger.
C'est une marine un peu hors norme dans sa conception qui continuera longtemps, j'en suis sûre, de vous transmettre son énergie et son souffle.

I painted Roc’h ar Mor outdoors, one stormy day on the Isle of Bréhat.
The accompanying video perfectly shows the unsettled weather conditions I had to face.
However, I really loved this improbable moment, when I had to wrestle against the wind and let my fertile imagination wander off.
The resulting outcome is a very graphic art-piece, imbued with expressionistic overtones. It seems that the rocks possess a soul of their own. I offer them a visible voice : through my palette knife, they boldly acquire a powerful means of expression.
Focusing on this bulky mass of rocks, you will behold here and there the lovely blue tones of the sea, as if the wind itself had been blowing on them to fashion their massive and chaotic shapes.
