"Printemps à l'île de Batz" fait partie de ma série Millefiori, c'est un tableau qui m'a été inspiré d'un croquis réalisé pendant mon séjour sur cette île. Ce point de vue m'a tout de suite interpellé car il permet de réunir sur une toile tout ce qui fait ce paradis, les sentiers, la nature, la végétation luxuriante de cette saison, les maisons blanches aux toits d'ardoises typiques de la Bretagne, la mer et ses rochers.

« Spring on the Isle of Batz » belongs to my « Millefiori » series. Inspiration for it came from a sketch I had made during my stay on the island. This vantage point really struck a cord with me. This evocative view enables me to dwell on the notion of paradise and its components: lovely winding paths, lush nature, luxuriant vegetation. Such are the green and gallant features of this rejuvenating season. Add to that the crisp whiteness of the whitewashed cottages with their slate roofs, typical of the region. Complete the image with the sea and the rocks and you behold the full picture.
As with this whole series of paintings, the sense of balance is foremost and combines perfectly well with the amazing range of springy tones. This unusual seascape will offer a vividly decorative touch to your interior.
