"La plage de l'embarcadère" est un lieu à part, un havre de paix que j'ai souhaité poser sur la toile. C'est une plage à l'abri du vent, à l'abri du monde et pourtant, c'est la promesse d'un départ, d'un voyage ou d'un retour au source.
Au loin c'est la vie, le mouvement des vedettes, le continent et ses habitations, tout paraît si proche et pourtant quand on se pose sur cette plage on est déjà loin de tout quand la vedette de l'île de Batz est repartie.
J'ai peint la tranquillité de ce lieu mais j'ai gardé des touches de peinture au couteau pour ne pas oublier la rudesse de l'environnement marin.

The Pier Beach is a place quite apart, a safe haven, which I depicted on this canvass. If it is sheltered from the winds, it is also sheltered from the bustling world. Yet, it offers a promise of a new start. It is an invitation to go back to the beginnings.
In the distance we can behold the small ferries going back and forth from the Isle of Batz to the mainland. Everything seems to be so close at hand. Yet, when staying on this little beach, once the boat has sailed back from the island, The main impression is that we are far away from everything.
What I highlighted here is the sense of peace pervading the place. However, being a seascape, it also features ragged rocks. I hinted at the roughness inherent in a sea view, by using a palette knife. This lovely emotional painting will provide a welcome means of escape from everyday life.
